Just back from Prota on Sunday, just to let you know we had a fantastic break there, the property was lovely, pool, views etc were wonderful.
We ate at the bar/rest Fredericos? I take it that is the only one in the village that was named as Guido's? They were extremely friendly and helpful, food and wine very good and inexpensive, please pass our thanks onto them when you next see them.
I will certainly recommend these properties and your company to all.

The Pool and view
La Taverna is a very special small property sharing a pool with three other houses. Completely made of stone it seems as though it is carved out of the rock. The kitchen area in the main room has an ancient marble sink, though modern plumbing!
Set into a corner of the stone wall in the bedroom is a luxurious spa bath. There is also a bathroom with a spacious shower and a walk-in wardrobe.
The living room opens onto a beautiful walled courtyard with views over the valley to the hills beyond, while the bedroom has its own private garden.
A few steps away is the large pool, also with wonderful views over the hills.
La Taverna is set in a friendly village with a shop, bar and restaurant only a couple of minutes walk away.
Down in the valley below tumbles the lovely Taverone river. A short drive takes you into the Appenine mountains, with many lakes to enjoy. The Ligurian coast is about 40 minutes away, where you can take boats out to the Cinque Terre and Portofino. Pisa is only an hour away. It is an ideal area for walking.
